In Andalusia, every city and every village has its Great week, its big party: “La Feria”.
And every worthy “La Feria” has its stall-holders; families with children and party animals; the Andalusian Gentleman on Horseback and Hippies; and most importantly, its Marquees and its Guards marquees.
They are the great mystery of the “La Feria”: nobody has seen the Guards, no one knows them. They live in a parallel universe – the underworld of the fairground.
Rafa Raigón is a Spanish contemporary photographer and The Vigilantes was presented during Slideluck Naples and Slideluck Rome.
a. What program was used to create the multimedia?
b. How and why did you choose that sound/music?
I was looking for music without text and somehow a little bit “space ambient” because the project is about people that are working for a month in a “parallel universe”, in Andalusia, with us but in another world.
c. Tell us about the editing process when you think of a multimedia.
This is the first multimedia I make. I was playing with the images i had edited for the photobook I´m making. The idea was to show the feeling that I´m trying to feel with the book. Now the multimedia is growing because I´m incorporating a video about The Vigilantes and some new ideas.
